01 · Setup

Set up the movement

  • Adjust the machine supports to stay aligned throughout.
  • Place your feet symmetrically and secure your pelvis.
  • Point your knees in the same direction as your feet.
  • Start with your trunk braced and back neutral.
  • Adjust the supports to stay aligned throughout.
02 · Execution

Perform the rep

  1. Lower under control through a manageable range.
  2. Avoid bouncing at the bottom.
  3. Push steadily without snapping your knees into lockout.
Technique cue

Supported pelvis, aligned knees and continuous pressure.

Common mistakes
  • rounding the lower back
  • letting the knees collapse inward
  • bouncing at the bottom
  • locking out aggressively at the top
  • forcing a range beyond your mobility
