01 · Setup
Set up the movement
- Adjust the machine supports to stay aligned throughout.
- Lean your torso slightly forward with your chest out.
- Keep your shoulder blades low and stable.
- Keep your elbows at a natural angle, neither tucked against your body nor fully spread sideways.
- Use the assisted path to maintain a consistent range.
02 · Execution
Perform the rep
- Lower in a controlled manner to a comfortable depth.
- Push to rise without losing your torso lean.
- Keep your body braced and avoid all swinging.
Technique cue
Keep your torso leaning forward and control the descent on every repetition.
Common mistakes- straightening the torso during the set
- raising the shoulders toward the ears
- lowering too quickly
- using a partial range
Safety notes
Risks of poor execution
- The guided movement reduces stabilization demands but does not protect against a forced range.
- Abrupt lockout at the top can overload the elbows.
