Description

Asymmetric pump with lateral load transfer to increase pectoral intensity.

01 · Setup

Set up the movement

  • Place your hands wider than on a classic pump.
  • Shaved body, stable hips, low shoulders.
  • The opposite arm remains more tense during the descent.
02 · Execution

Perform the rep

  1. Go down towards the side being worked, keeping your torso aligned.
  2. Push to return to the center without rotating the pelvis.
  3. Alternate sides with the same control.
Technique cue

Transfers the load laterally without twisting the pelvis.

  • torso rotation
  • descent too fast
  • strong arm shoulder rising
  • reduced range of motion on one side
Safety notes

Risks of poor execution

  • Poorly controlled imbalance overloads the wrist and shoulder on the loaded side.
  • Rapid technical fatigue increases the risk of lumbar compensation.
