01 · Setup
Set up the movement
- Set up an inclined bench (around 15-30°) and brace your upper back.
- Tilt between 15 and 30 degrees.
- Shoulder blades tight and lowered, chest open.
- Close hands with constant internal pressure.
02 · Execution
Perform the rep
- Descend controlled towards the top of the chest without losing internal pressure.
- Stop briefly at the bottom.
- Push up while keeping your elbows under control and your wrists neutral.
Technique cue
Continuous internal pressure and stable trajectory with slight inclination.
Common mistakes- tilt too high
- pressure released at the top
- elbows that open too much
- bounce down
